What To Wear & Bring To Class
Loose comfortable clothes are needed for a yoga class. Jeans are a bad idea! Tracksuit bottoms/leggings, t-shirt and sweatshirt are ideal. Yoga is best done in bare feet but if it makes you feel more comfortable, wear socks. A non-slip, sticky yoga mat is best for your practice. If you are not sure what type of mat to get, just bring a towel to your first class and I will explain what to look for in a mat.
We always finish the class with a relaxation (called Savasana) and you will find that you cool down quite quickly so it is a good idea to bring along a blanket to wrap yourself in, or at the very least, a sweatshirt and socks. Try to drink plenty of water before and after the class and ideally not eat for at least an hour beforehand – we do a lot of abdominal work which is not comfortable on a full stomach.
